After a six week maternity leave, I am slowly easing back into work, so I will start posting a bit more. My March is full with sessions, so book now if you want a Spring session, they are filling up fast!

Here’s a pic of my loves <3<3<3.

It’s unheard of to have all the kids dressed in normal looking clothes (instead of the leggings, athletic shorts, T-shirts, boots combo they like to sport) AND have the baby asleep and content, so I dragged them all out into the street last night to snap this pic.

Color or B/W? I can’t choose. But one of them is getting blown up big, because I simply adore this image of my loves.

And he is AMAZING.

Born January 15- Timothy James- “TJ” entered our lives. He is named after one of Jesse’s best friends that left this earth entirely too early. If you knew him, you would understand why we wanted to name our son after him. We knew we wanted Timothy to be either the first or the middle name if we had a boy, but we had all kinds of unique names picked for the other half of the name.  As it turns out, we decided on the name once we saw his sweet little face. He just looked so All American, we went with a more traditional name (James is Jesse’s middle name).

The kids are SO in love with him. I highly recommend bringing a newborn into your life if you have older kids. They seriously cannot get enough of him (I’ve even had to break up a couple of fights over whose turn it was to hold him). I hope this lasts!

They have had some funny little moments too. Jude cannot understand the semantics of feeding him. He says I am milking him since its a liquid and not a solid he is getting!

the woodlands family photographer_houston photographer_www.spryart.com__127

I told Jesse it was time to bathe him the other day because he had milk curdles in his neck and his hair was greasy. Kaylee piped up and said “Hey! He’s just like me!” Ahhhh. My little free spirit that just does not like to bathe.

Emily came home from school and declared she was going to hurry up and wash her hands so she could “pet” him.

And Presley couldn’t even WAIT to hold him the other day. I set her up on the couch with the Boppy and checked on them after a few minutes. She had her Nook resting on his head while she read. I should have known better.

Happy 8th Birthday to my little sweetheart Presley.

It was only fitting we do a bookworm theme for her birthday party because the girl always has her nose buried in a book. She is currently devouring the Harry Potter books. She reads them in the car, in bed, laying upside down on the couch (head on the floor, body on the couch), in the bath, everywhere she can! She asked for books, books, and more books for Christmas.

I totally get it. If I could, I would probably be the same way. Although the last few months of pregnancy have brought on some serious pregnancy related insomnia and I am getting a TON of reading done between 1-4 am!

Here’s my lovely little bookworm.

Her party decor revolved around piles of books, and Erin at Whip It Good Cookies will never cease to amaze me with her awesomeness.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing all sorts of families over the years and I have never witnessed older brothers treat a younger sister like these boys treated theirs. To say they were totally amazing with her is an understatement. The connection they had with her, and with each other, was truly extraordinary.

I loved this family and I kind of can’t stop talking about how great they were :-).

Took these in Puerto Morales, Mexico in honor of Emily’s upcoming  11th birthday.

I think we were done with the shoot by 7 am. Love a model that is willing to get up at the crack of dawn to capture the glorious beach light before it gets too bright!  She’s was born in December, and this was probably our one chance to get (warm) beach pictures for her birthday. I love spending one on one time with the kids taking their photos- they are just completely different human beings.

Here’s one of the four of them, I couldn’t resist… 🙂

Are big and bright!

Deep in the heart of Texas!

Seriously gotta love a family that convinces Grandpa to paint a Texas flag on his barn for family photos.

Loved this sweet family!

This is one of my favorite families ever. The girls are just adorbale, Dad makes me laugh almost as much as my own husband (and that’s saying a lot… Jesse is a funny dude), and Melissa is one of my best friends and also does my bookkeeping! Seriously, she saved me from the cold sweats I would get after ever quarter when I had to pay taxes and realized I had not kept up with my accounting for the last three months.  If you have a small business in the Houston area and need some saving, she’s your girl! She doesn’t even complain (even though she really should) about all the personal expenses that show up on my books that she has to invariably call me about before deleting.

Anywho- they are no strangers to the blog. We have been doing their family pictures since the girls were about 9 months old. We usually do something kind of naturey, but decided to do something a little edgier this time. I remember the girls being a little challenging to photograph at 9 months… they couldn’t be more different now! Every time I turned around, one of them was calling out “Ms.Tracy, Ms. Tracy, look at me!” and I would turn around to see a supermodel pose. Love it!

The original family photo shoot they had planned while vacationing in another state was rained out… lucky ME that they chose me to shoot them at home.

And… boys.  Not to sound cliche, but boys will be boys. OK- that was a total cliche, but I don’t care!

We decided these three pictures together should be called “A Midsummer NIght’s Dream.” Hmmm… I’m sensing a theme for Presley’s upcoming birthday party

One location was at a farm that has been in the family 100 years, the other was at the beach during what could have been classified as a tropical wind storm :-). Love these two families SO SO SO MUCH!!!
